Home Extension
Wandsworth, London SW11

Penni Black Property Services were brought in to extend a traditional three bedroom Victorian house in Wandsworth. The brief was to expand the kitchen and create a dining room to make it bigger and lighter. With the style of building we decided a side return extension would suit the occasion.

The Kitchen

The Original Kitchen

The original part kitchen was very small and cramped. The owner really wanted a lot more space with modern units in a classic look. We built out with a side return extension opening the room up with more space.

The New Kitchen

We installed a new kitchen with a natural wood work surface, white kitchen units with metal fixtures and a new hob, oven and matching stainless steel extractor hood. The room was finished with neutral coloured walls and a natural stone look floor.

The Dining Room

The Temporary Dining Room

The original dining room was being used as a family room, however the owner really wanted their dining room back. The temporary dining room was originally in their small kitchen, ready to seat three. With the new side return extension we gave them a dining room to be proud of.

The New Dining Room

The new dining room truly maximised on both light and space. We installed new skylights in the extension for additional light. The room was finished with neutral colours, stone tiled floor plus metal fixtures and fittings to compliment the kitchen.

The Outlook

The Original Look

Before the transformation of this Victorian house the rear of the property lost space along the right hand side which was ideal for our extension needs.

The Final Result

The end result was everything the owner wanted. We built in double doors to the kitchen and dining room to lead into their newly landscaped garden. A new path was laid from the dining room doors which lead through a new natural wood climbing arch into the garden plus an undercover seating area just outside the kitchen.
